2014 Beaune 1er cru Les Teuron

Offers ample black cherry, earth and smoky notes, but also a minerally essence, all focused by racy acidity. Shows fine length and a savory aftertaste. Best from 2020 through 2033. 49 cases made. 91 pts

2014 Volnay 1er cru En Carelle

Stylish oak lends a spicy, resinous cast to the cherry and currant notes, while the firm structure imparts support and texture. Shows tension and harmony. Should come together nicely in two to three years. Best from 2020 through 2032. 122 cases made. 92 pts

2014 Volnay 1er cru Clos de la Chapelle monopole

Alluring aromas of rose, ripe cherry and sweet spices, with an undercurrent of earth, introduce this vibrant red. Light herbal accents grace the finish, along with a chalklike feel. Best from 2019 through 2033. 117 cases made. 92 pts

2014 Volnay 1er cru Taillepieds

Leans toward the austere side, offering leafy berry, cherry, earth and spice flavors, with dusty tannins and a compact finish. Give this time to pull together, as there is plenty of ripe, sweet fruit in reserve. Best from 2020 through 2036. 72 cases made.   93 pts

2014 Pommard 1er cru Les Chanlins vieilles vignes

A lean, sinewy style, evoking a base of minerality and spicy oak to elevate the berry and currant fruit. Tense and peppery, this finds equilibrium on the long finish. Best from 2020 through 2035. 72 cases made. 90 pts

2014 Pommard 1er cru Grands Epenots

Sporting black cherry, violet and ample spice flavors, this nicely oaky red is polished and modern in style, showing balance. Needs time to integrate the oak. Best from 2020 through 2035. 46 cases made. 92 pts

2014 Corton Rognet Grand Cru

Perfumed with sweet smoke, spice and macerated cherry aromas that lead to a core of cherry fruit, this red is supple and enticing. At a youthful stage, but shows fine harmony nonetheless, with a long aftertaste of ripe fruit, oak spice and graphite. Best from 2020 through 2035. 145 cases made. 95 pts

Corton Bressandes Grand Cru

Leans toward the austere side, offering leafy berry, cherry, earth and spice flavors, with dusty tannins and a compact finish. Give this time to pull together, as there is plenty of ripe, sweet fruit in reserve. Best from 2020 through 2036. 72 cases made.   93 pts

2014 Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru

A stoniness underscores the lemon, citronella and clove flavors in this racy white. The chalky texture and light tannins on the finish set this apart. This keeps building, ending with fine energy and a lingering aftertaste. Best from 2019 through 2028. 68 cases made. 95 pts
